Stew Peters Believes ‘Directed Energy Weapon’ Destroyed The World Trade Center

White nationalist Stew Peters has voiced support for increasingly deranged conspiracy theories on everything from COVID-19 to dinosaurs to the moon landing. In an episode of his Stew Peters Show on Sept. 11, 2023, Peters added a new conspiracy theory to that list: that the World Trade Center was actually destroyed by “directed energy weapons.”

“Anybody who’s not asking questions, demanding answers for what exactly occurred 22 years ago today in New York City on September 11th, 2001 needs their head examined,” he declared at the beginning of the show’s monologue. “They’re delusional. They could basically be written off. They’re a lost cause.”

Peters compared people who haven’t yet embraced 9/11 conspiracy theories to people who believe “it’s effective to strap your kids to an oxygen-inhibiting, bacteria-ridden, Sharia face muzzle” or that “we landed on the moon and lost the technology to get back there.”

He then touted the work of 9/11 Truthers Andrew Johnson and Judy Wood who believe the Twin Towers were “vaporized into dust” by a “directed energy weapon.”

“Well actually that ‘turned to dust’ part isn’t even just some theory,” Peters said. “Even the people pushing the ‘official’ narrative admit it. All the way back in September 2001 the New York Times did this explainer piece on why giant clouds of dust burst out of the sides of the World Trade Centers as they collapsed.”

“Now remember that’s actually surprising,” he continued. “Watch a controlled demolition. Go on YouTube or anywhere and watch a video of a controlled demolition. There might be dust at the bottom of the building as it explodes, or implodes. But it’s extremely rare, if we’ve ever seen it at all, to see dust exploding out of the sides of them as they fall.”

“According to the Times it was all because of compressed air and gravity,” he said mockingly.

Peters then interviewed one of those aforementioned 9/11 Truthers, Andrew Johnson, one of the so-called “Scholars for 9/11 Truth.” The interview with Johnson was essentially a Power Point presentation with slides that showed photos of the towers collapsing, sometimes with lines drawn on them to make a point about the amount of ash and dust found at Ground Zero.

After playing a clip of Dr. Judy Wood discussing the 9/11 attacks, Peters asked Johnson if he agreed that it was a “directed energy weapon attack.” Johnson told Peters that there was “no doubt at all that that’s what it was” because “we found out the principles of out that works.” He assured Peters that it’s “quite difficult to understand” and that it’s “not as simple” as a “laser beam.”

Peters also asked Johnson who was responsible for destroying the World Trade Center with a directed energy weapon. Johnson said he didn’t know exactly who was, but said he thinks he knows “who knows who did it,” claiming that Dr. Judy Wood and others “filed a legal case in 2007” against contractors for the National Institute of Standards and Technology.

“Now, some of the contractors that [were] used by NIST — and NIST was tasked with investigating the destruction of the World Trade Center,” he said.

“They employed 23 contractors, and a number of those contractors — in fact two that come to mind, Science Applications International Corporation and Applied Research Associates — they’re companies that have contracts with the military which are involved [in] research or production of directed energy weapons systems or components.”

Of course, much like all conspiracy theories, this raises many more questions than answers — about motive, and the identities of the supposed perpetrators, and why there was no news of sophisticated energy weapons 22 years ago, and why they would be needed to vaporize buildings that were already struck by airplanes. It’s all needlessly complicated and utterly ridiculous.
