Elijah Schaffer Extols The Accomplishments Of White People And Defends Patriot Front

On the Jan. 25, 2024 episode of his show, Slightly Offensive, far-right, racist Internet personality Elijah Schaffer commemorated Australia Day by “celebrat[ing] the accomplishments of white people.” Schaffer and his guests, Jon Miller and Anna Perez, praised white people for creating civilized countries, and suggested that Black and indigenous people are incapable of doing so.

Schaffer also defended the beliefs espoused by the white supremacist hate group Patriot Front, lauding their “pro-white, pro-God, pro-family message.”

Schaffer began the show by wishing viewers a happy Australia Day while dressed in oversized novelty glasses and an inflatable finger decorated to look like the Australian flag. After complaining that Australia recently banned the Nazi salute, Schaffer introduced one of his guests, Holocaust denier and Nazi apologist Jon Miller, by spelling out slurs.

“I called you a Rob Smith. And you know what Rob Smith stands for, right?” he asked Miller, referring to the Black, gay conservative influencer. “It’s the n-i-g-g-e-r f-a-g-g-o-t,” Schaffer said, spelling out two slurs. “I’m Black, I can’t spell,” Miller joked in response. Schaffer then explained that he can’t actually say the words, even on Rumble, because he might violate Australian law.

Schaffer told his guests, Miller and Wrongthink Primetime host Anna Perez, that on Australia Day he wanted to talk about the contributions made by white people. Schaffer said he was “reflecting because people don’t wanna celebrate the accomplishments of white people. They don’t want to believe that white people could do anything good for society.”

Schaffer pulled up an image of dilapidated buildings purportedly from Ethiopia, Liberia, Haiti, and Zimbabwe. He remarked that this is “what life could look like under Black power.” Schaffer asked Miller and Perez if they’d want to “live in a world without white people.”

Miller responded by crediting white people for “everything that the human race has to be proud of,” including architecture, art, science, and mathematics:

I’m happy to have a roof over my head because of white people. I mean it’s incredible. You look at civilization as a whole, and just the vast majority of civilization on this earth is actually not white people.

But on the flipside, the vast majority of civilized places where you see things that inspire awe in people — where you see buildings, where you see architecture, where you see art, where you see science and technology, where you see mathematics, where you see everything that the human race has to be proud of — it is because of one very small group of people that happens to be white people.

And so without sounding like Tim Scott, we have to be thankful of what white people have provided this earth. I don’t think it’s productive for anyone, for any race, to sit there and talk about how white people have destroyed civilization, or how we could’ve built this if the white people hadn’t come.

Miller added that Africans have “had hundreds of years to prove that they could build Wakanda and they haven’t. And I think that speaks for itself.”

Anna Perez voiced a similar opinion, claiming that “every single ethnic group, every single race, every single religious group has at one point in time been the oppressed or the oppressor.” She complained about the emphasis on “slavery here in the West,” since slavery was practiced in other countries and cultures.

“Slavery is not an inherently anti-Black concept,” she said. “That is a concept that has existed for many, many years around the world.” Of course, slavery as practiced by the United States was an “anti-Black concept” predicated on the superiority of white people.

“And the other thing that’s really frustrating about this whole narrative that white people are so bad, so evil — well, we didn’t just take over America, okay?” she continued. “It’s not like people came here — white people came to America and decided that they were just gonna steal everything. That’s not exactly how it works.”

Perez credited “white Europeans” with fighting Indigenous people “for hundreds of years to get this land,” and said that “white people are awesome.” She also reiterated a statement that she made on an episode of her own Rumble show that white people “saved natives from living in tepees.”

Schaffer also defended the beliefs of Patriot Front — a fascist, white supremacist hate group known for staging public demonstrations, most recently in New York. Patriot Front members have been connected to acts of vandalism. In 2022, 31 members, including Patriot Front leader Thomas Rousseau, were arrested near an Idaho pride event for conspiring to riot.

Most of the Patriot Front members arrested in that incident have either been convicted at trial or taken plea agreements. Late last year the charge against Thomas Rousseau was dismissed by a judge.

Right-wing media has also ridiculed the organization’s antics, dismissing them as undercover federal agents on a mission to make conservatives look bad.

The Daily Wire’s Michael Knowles claimed that there is “evidence” that Patriot Front “might have some kind of connection, you know, to the federal government.” Podcaster Joe Rogan has similarly called Patriot Front “fake,” and remarked that members looked too “thin” and “in shape.” And Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene recently called them a “FED-wing” group on X.

“People will shit on people for being honest about who controls the world. About pro-family, pro-Christian messages. But if you’re a gay, Black conservative then they’ll have you speak in front of young, impressionable kids about anal sex. And that’s totally okay,” Schaffer complained to his guests.

“You know they’ll say ‘Patriot Front are all feds. They’re all feds. This is the worst group ever,'” Schaffer said. “Why? ‘Cause they have a pro-white, pro-God, pro-family message they’re bad? Maybe they are feds. I don’t know. You don’t have evidence for it. But at the same time, is their message really that bad?”

The Patriot Front manifesto lays out the organization’s beliefs, including that democracy has “failed,” that people of color are not truly American, and that an ethnostate must be created for white, non-Jews. According to leaked chat logs, members have praised fascist and Neo-Nazi leaders like Benito Mussolini, Oswald Mosley, and George Lincoln Rockwell — founder of the American Nazi Party.

This is not the first time Elijah Schaffer has come to the defense of open white supremacists. In an Aug. 12, 2023 post on X, Schaffer asked if the torch-wielding mob of Neo-Nazis that marched at UVA six years prior were “Villains or heroes?”:

In a follow-up post, Schaffer wrote, “When you read the real history of this event / gives J6 vibes.”
