Bill O’Reilly Wanted Trump To Designate Mexican Cartels As ‘Terrorist Groups’ And ‘Send Special Forces Into Acapulco And Cut Their Heads Off’

In the 26th episode of his Tucker on X show, timed of course to coincide with the second Republican primary debate, Tucker Carlson interviewed another Fox News host who was ignominiously canned by the network: Bill O’Reilly. O’Reilly, who was fired over sexual harassment allegations, told Carlson that he advised Trump on his immigration policy.

Specifically, O’Reilly claimed that he told then-President Trump to designate Mexican cartels as “terrorist groups” so he could kill them through drone strikes and “send Special Forces into Acapulco and cut their heads off.”

“But what Trump can do, if he’s elected, is stop the age of disorder,” O’Reilly said. “He can stop it. You could close the border tomorrow, all you have to do is write an executive order that says we’re suspending all requests for asylum for six months, ’til we can get this thing under control. So we’re not takin’ any more. You could do that tomorrow.”

He claimed that “Trump knocked it down 80%,” with respect to border crossings by undocumented immigrants, by “making a deal with [Mexican President Andrés Manuel López] Obrador.” He told Carlson that he knows about the deal because he was “in on that deal.” (O’Reilly did not disclose where he got that that statistic.)

He explained to Carlson that Trump is a “friend” who calls him “occasionally” and that during one occasion while discussing the border he advised Trump on how to deal with Mexican cartels.

Inspired by the Trump administration’s assassination of Iranian major general Qasem Soleimani, O’Reilly suggested designating Mexican cartels “terrorist group[s]” like they did with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps.

“I said just slap the [terrorist group] designation on ’em,” he recalled.

“And then you can whacks ’em from space with the drones and send Special Forces into Acapulco and cut their heads off. Okay? And what are the Mexicans gonna do about it? Nothing.” O’Reilly said that Trump floated the plan to Obrador who “went nuts” and suggested putting Mexican soldiers on the borders of Guatemala and the U.S.

O’Reilly said this resulted in border crossings dropping by 80% and “all sorts of trade preferences” for the U.S. “He was an effective president,” O’Reilly concluded.
