On the 22nd episode of his Tucker on X show, Tucker Carlson gave a platform to Larry Sinclair — a man who spent years claiming that, in 1999, he used cocaine and had sex with then-Illinois State Senator Barack Obama. Sinclair is a fraudster whose lengthy criminal record includes charges for theft and forgery.

Sinclair alleged that he reached out to the Obama campaign to discuss his claim that the candidate had used crack cocaine in 1999 and was ignored. He also said that he was then contacted by a man named Donald Young who told Sinclair that he too had a relationship with Obama.

Young, who was a choir conductor in Rev. Jeremiah Wright’s Trinity United Church of Christ, was murdered in December 2007. Sinclair, without any evidence, implicated both Obama and Wright in Young’s death, stating that, at the very least, they had knowledge about why he was killed.

Sinclair told Carlson that Young’s mother “feels that her son died to protect Barack Obama.”

Minutes later in the interview, Sinclair said that he wasn’t “accusing Barack of anything,” but added that “I’m willing to bet my life that Barack Obama and Jeremiah Wright both know or have knowledge of who killed Donald Young. There is no doubt in my mind about that.”

Carlson responded by suggesting that it would have been plausible for Barack Obama to have had a man murdered in order to cover up an affair.

“Well this was a guy who was clearly gonna be the next leader of the world,” Carlson said. “You know, people kill each other over insurance claims. Over bar fights. You know there’s a lot at stake here. I have no knowledge of this, I’m not alleging a murder by the Obama campaign or its allies. But it’s not a crazy thing to wonder, obviously.”

Near the end of the interview Carlson commented that Sinclair was the “only person on this set who’s had sex with Barack Obama” and therefore probably “know[s] more than most people.” He then asked Sinclair for his “assessment” of the former president.

“I think he’s the same grifter that he’s always been. I think he’s still very power-hungry,” Sinclair said.

“I think Obama is calling the shots in the current Biden administration more than people are willing to admit. I think Obama is hell-bent — I had made a statement during that [2008] press conference that I felt that Barack Obama being elected was going to push race relations in this country backwards 50 years.”

Carlson laughed and said that Sinclair had been “vindicated on that.”

“Because race relations in this country has not only gotten pushed back, but everything’s about race now,” Sinclair continued. “Everything. Everything is about victimization now.”

Carlson then interrupted to say that Obama is “obviously a race hater” and “very anti-white,” and asked Sinclair if Obama’s beliefs are genuine if he had sex with a white man. Sinclair said that he “would be willing to betcha I’m not the only white person he’s had sex with” or the only “male.”

Any real journalist would have spotted multiple red flags in this situation, including Sinclair’s history of criminality and dishonesty, and the fact that the person who could supposedly corroborate parts of his story is long dead.

Carlson didn’t even mention that Sinclair had written a book about this unverified account called Barack Obama & Larry Sinclair: Cocaine, Sex, Lies & Murder.

But since Tucker Carlson isn’t a real journalist, he lent credence to Sinclair’s bizarre, gay-baiting, tabloid-style rumors in order to portray America’s first Black president as a crack-smoking, “anti-white” adulterer who may have been involved in the murder of a choir conductor in his own church.

And many high-profile figures, including X owner Elon Musk and Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, are willing to amplify this disinformation.
