Laura Loomer Has Misogynistic Meltdown While Defending Baseless Attack On Judge’s Daughter

Laura Loomer recently targeted the daughter of Judge Juan Merchan, who will oversee former president Donald Trump’s hush money case. Loomer falsely claimed that Merchan’s daughter, Loren, operated an anti-Trump X account — a smear that Trump himself repeated. After her claim was debunked, however, Loomer doubled down, attacking female journalists in racist and misogynistic terms.

The controversy began when Loomer, a conspiracy theorist who masquerades as an investigative journalist, claimed that she discovered an anti-Trump X account belonging to Loren Merchan. The account, @lorenm436, had a profile picture showing Donald Trump behind bars and was created in April 2023.

Loomer claimed that Loren Merchan’s purported anti-Trump beliefs constitute a conflict of interest, and that Judge Juan Merchan must recuse himself. Donald Trump later parroted Loomer’s claims on his Truth Social website, explicitly targeting Judge Merchan and his daughter.

But as an article for The Spectator pointed out, the X account likely did not belong to Loren Merchan.

While she did create an account with the handle @lorenm426 in 2016, she renamed her account last year before the far-right website Breitbart ran an article on her. The Breitbart piece incorrectly stated that Merchan’s account had been deleted.

However, a day after Breitbart’s article was published, a new account appeared with Merchan’s old X handle. This account, which sported an anti-Trump profile picture, showed a creation date of April 2023, and had both a different follower count and X/Twitter ID than Merchan’s current account.

The fact that the @lorenm426 account does not belong to Loren Merchan was later confirmed by a court spokesperson. And it marks the second time that Loomer has falsely attacked the family member of a judge overseeing one of Trump’s trials.

Loomer took this fact-check of her smear piece about as well as one might expect from a woman who handcuffed herself to Twitter’s New York City headquarters. On Loomer Unleashed, her fledgling Rumble show, she pulled up a Mediaite article about the controversy, angrily reading it aloud for her audience.

When the article mentioned the Spectator piece debunking Loomer’s claim, Loomer lashed out at people who shared the piece, including MSNBC host Katie Phang.

She complained about X posts by Phang, who showed that the @lorenm426 account rebranded after Trump picked up Loomer’s story. The account altered its handle to @tompaul357 and used pictures of Vice President Kamala Harris as a child and the Ginger Bread Man character from the Shrek movie franchise before it was ultimately deleted.

Phang also joked that Loomer was “giving Single White Female energy.” In response, Loomer accused Phang of attempting to “incite a white genocide via the airwaves” and asked whether Phang is a “CCP mouthpiece” — referring to the Chinese Communist Party. Phang is not of Chinese descent.

She continued her Rumble rant, sharing screenshots which she insisted would validate her claim about Loren Merchan. However, Loomer failed to address any of the points raised by factcheckers, particularly about the date of the account’s creation and its new X/Twitter ID.

Loomer then pivoted to attacking yet another journalist: New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman. Haberman co-authored a piece about the Trump campaign’s interest in hiring Loomer in spite of her white nationalist and Islamophobic rhetoric. This job offer was rescinded following the article’s publication.

In a bitter, misogynistic rant, Loomer repeatedly referred to Haberman as a “bitch” and a “cunt,” and accused her of costing her a dream job with the Trump campaign:

A lot of you don’t know who Maggie Haberman is. Okay? She’s a bitch. That’s all you need to know. Okay? She’s a talentless anti-Trump bitch. And I would be working for President Trump right now if it wasn’t for that nasty hit piece, right?

And, as many of you know, President Trump hired me in his office in March of 2023. He was very impressed by my investigations into Ron DeSanctimonious. And he called me one day and he said “I wanna meet you. I think you’re amazing. You’re very talented. I think that you are destroying Ron DeSantis. Come to Mar-a-Lago, I wanna meet you.”

So I went to Mar-a-Lago, and I had a private meeting with President Trump. And it was supposed to be very private, I wasn’t supposed to talk about it with anybody. I didn’t talk about it with anybody, for the record. And then, right, he ends up hiring me on the spot. And he goes “Wow, you’re brilliant. Oh, Laura Loomer’s so much smarter than so many of the other people that I’ve had work for me in the past,” right?

And he’s saying this openly in the office in front of everybody, right? Everybody could hear it. I mean, I dunno, maybe some people got jealous. I don’t know. But that’s not my problem, right? It’s not my fault. It’s not my fault I’m good at what I do.

So President Trump starts talking and he goes “Wow Laura you’re just so brilliant,” and I won’t say which staffer he pointed to, he goes “Oh, isn’t she just great? Isn’t she just wonderful? We gotta hire her. Let’s make sure that we hire Laura. Let’s get Laura hired. Oh, she’s so much smarter than a lot of these other people that I’ve had work for me in the past.” I swear on my own life that’s what Donald Trump said. ‘Kay?

So he says this, and I’m supposed to go work for him. They give me a start date that I’m supposed to start working. And then, you know, he gets indicted. And then all of the sudden, right? It’s kind of like radio silence. And I was like “Alright, well it’s probably just the indictment,” right? People are busy.

And then all of the sudden this one morning I get a phone call in April from Jonathan Swann and Maggie Haberman of The New York Times. And they were like “Oh, is Laura there?” I was like “Yeah, who’s this?” “Oh this is Jonathan Swann. Maggie Haberman and I are gonna be publishing a story today about how Donald Trump wants to hire you.”

We can even pull this story up, right? So people can see. ‘Cause a lot of people don’t know about this. A lot of people don’t know what happened and it really pisses me off, right? ‘Cause everyone’s like “Oh, you should be working for Donald Trump. You’re so great at what you do.” Right? And see that — see that article?

Like, I know that I — I just think this woman is one of the most disgusting women on this planet, Maggie Haberman. And she’s gonna get the karma that she deserves someday. Someday. She really is. And she deserves it. And she has it coming too. That’s not a threat of violence. I’m just saying that she’s gonna get some kind of professional karma. Hopefully she gets laid off and she’s homeless. I wish the worst for her. I hope to find her bankrupt and homeless, sleeping on the streets of New York City one of these days. ‘Cause that’s how much I hate this bitch.

Let’s be honest. If Maggie Haberman is anything, she’s not an expert. She’s not a respected journalist. She’s a cunt. Okay? And words have meaning. And I don’t care who that offends. Okay? Maggie Haberman is the absolute definition of what it means to be a cunt. In the Webster dictionary next to the word “cunt” is a photo of Maggie Haberman’s face. That’s what this woman is.

It’s tortious interference what she did. And I don’t have respect for her. And like I said, I am going to throw a party the day that that woman gets the karma that she has coming her way.

Following that deranged monologue, Loomer revealed the reason for attacking Haberman: her husband, Dareh Gregorian, co-authored an NBC article about how Trump used Loomer’s debunked claim to attack Judge Marchan. She then ranted about Haberman and Gregorian, claiming that the latter “doesn’t look very Jewish to me.”

Loomer also said that the reason Haberman doesn’t use her husband’s last name professionally is so they can “hide the fact that they’re married.” And she suggested that this was part of a conspiracy against her personally.

“And why do they want to hide the fact that they’re married? Because it allows them to deceive the public,” she declared.

“It allows them to deceive the public, so that Maggie Haberman can go kill off my employment, and write hit pieces about Donald Trump, and write a book about Donald Trump, and make all this money lying about Donald Trump like she does every single day at that shit rag known as The New York Times.”

She added that “her stupid husband” can then “do the same thing over at NBC News.”
