Earlier today, on the heels of the revelation that the Department of Justice will tackle discrimination against white college applicants, President Trump held a press conference announcing a proposed bill to limit legal immigration.
Alongside Senators Tom Cotton (R-AR) and David Perdue (R-GA), Trump unveiled the RAISE Act which, if passed, would slash the number of legal immigrants allowed into the country and impose so-called merit based restrictions on immigrants. These restrictions comprise a point system which favors immigrants who, among other things, speak English and can afford their own healthcare.
Trump claimed that the Act would “reduce poverty, increase wages, and save taxpayers billions and billions of dollars,” as well as prevent “new migrants and new immigrants from collecting welfare.” Actually, immigrants are already prohibited on arrival from collecting welfare for five years.
And while the Act would likely not “reduce poverty, increase wages” or “save taxpayers billions and billions of dollars,” it already has the enthusiastic support of white nationalist leader Jared Taylor. In a Periscope video broadcast today, Taylor praised Trump for introducing “two major initiatives” that will “actually help” his white voter base.
Of the RAISE Act, Taylor said, “This is a complete revamping of the immigration policy that has been destroying our country ever since the immigration laws of 1965. Instead of one million newcomers every year, we’re gonna go down to just 500,000 — a good first step.”
He complained that under the current system, immigrants are accepted into the country regardless of whether they end up on welfare or contract “some expensive disease we’re gonna have to treat.” And he preemptively criticized media outlets such as the New York Times which he predicted would “find some hand-wringing expert to explain why people who are illiterate are far better for America than people with PhDs.”
The second policy he cheered on was the aforementioned attack on affirmative action in colleges and universities. Taylor laughably called white people “the most underrepresented demographic group in all of our elite universities,” and praised Trump and Jeff Sessions for targeting schools which are “deliberately and blatantly discriminating against white applicants.”
He ended his video by telling viewers that “this is not salvation for white people” since “any white baby born in the United States is already a minority.” But, he added, these initiatives would “force” people who advocate for allowing in millions of “Third World immigrants” and who “think it’s good to discriminate against whites” to explain why.
Am I dreaming? In just 24 hours Donald Trump has introduced two major initiatives that actually help the people who voted for him: primarily white people, and working class white people.
The first has to do with immigration. This is a complete revamping of the immigration policy that has been destroying our country ever since the immigration laws of 1965. Instead of one million newcomers every year, we’re gonna go down to just 500,000 — a good first step.
And heretofore the main criterion for immigration is not whether you can contribute to the United States, it’s whether you’re related to an American. Makes no difference whether you’re gonna go on welfare. Makes no difference if you’ve got some expensive disease we’re gonna have to treat. The key criterion has been family reunification.
No. Now, believe it or not, it’s going to require — [the] policy’s going to require that you make a contribution to America. Can you believe it? We might actually get an immigrant stream of people who are less likely to go on welfare, than people are more likely than natives to go on welfare. Astonishing.
Of course, the New York Times is going to object to any process that requires some sort of qualifications. Education, ability to speak English — I’m sure they’ll find some hand-wringing expert to explain why people who are illiterate are far better for America than people with PhDs.
And I’m sure they’ll find someone who’s just wringing his hands with grief at the prospect that so many of these people who need heart/lung transfers — transplants — and whose only hope of getting them is to come to the United States are — sorry — not gonna be able to come after all.
Part of the new plan is also to eliminate the 50,000 people who come to the United States on the diversity lottery. Believe it or not, every year, 50,000 people are granted Green Cards not because they can contribute but because they won the lottery. What would Washington or Madison or Jefferson — the people who built this country — think about people getting U.S. citizenship, access to the United States, the country they built, simply because they won the lottery?
No. We’re gonna get rid of this. So we’re going to have an immigration policy, believe it or not, that is supposed to be good for America rather than good for these people who cannot contribute and who have left loser countries and are going to turn our country into a loser country the more they come. Astonishing.
The second policy is that the Justice Department is going to start suing universities that discriminate against, believe it or not, white people. White people are the most underrepresented demographic group in all of our elite universities. And Donald Trump’s Justice Department is sick of this. It’s going to start accusing these people of precisely what they’re doing: of deliberately and blatantly discriminating against white applicants.
Isn’t this amazing? Two in just 24 hours. This is such good news I can hardly believe it. On the other hand, this is certainly not — despite being a good first step — this is not salvation for white people. Remember, any white baby born in the United States is already a minority. Any white child under the age of 5 is already a minority. And this demographic displacement will continue to march through generation after generation.
But one of the great things about these initiatives is that they will bring our opponents out into the open. It will force the people who want a million immigrants, two million Third World immigrants, to explain why. It will force the people who think it’s good to discriminate against whites to explain why.
This means the battle lines will be even more clear than they have ever been. More and more whites will wake up to what is being prepared. What the people have in mind who want to displace them and reduce them to minorities. What they think and why they think it. And for all of these reasons, this is wonderful news. Celebrate with me, and thanks for watching.
