On the July 5, 2017 episode of 710 WOR’s Mark Simone Show, right-wing pundit Ann Coulter called in to discuss the recent CNN GIF controversy. Coulter, a rabid Trump supporter whose latest book is titled In Trump We Trust: E Pluribus Awesome!, was unsurprisingly giddy over President Trump’s decision to tweet a GIF of himself pummeling a person with the CNN logo superimposed over their head.

It was later revealed that the GIF’s creator was a troll who originally posted the image to the r/the_Donald subreddit. Going by the handle HanAssholeSolo, the troll had a lengthy history of posting racist content, including an image macro supposedly depicting all the Jewish people employed by CNN.

And Coulter, who once claimed Jews needed to be “perfected,” apparently sided with the troll on this point. Coulter denounced the “hysteria” over HanAssholeSolo posting a picture “listing all of the Jews who work at CNN,” telling Mark Simone that there “were like 200 of them.”

“And I’ve gotta tell you, it was an arresting photo,” she added, “mostly because the media are the ones who are insisting, ‘I’m sorry, every local newscast has got to have one Asian, one Hispanic, one black, soon it’s going to be one Muslim!’ These people are so obsessed with ‘Oh it’s all white men in Trump’s cabinet!‘ Wait, but somebody can’t point out that you have a kind of a disproportionate number of Jews working at your network?”

Coulter: I also — this hysteria over, oh, the horrible thing that the guy who created the GIF — I think he was the one who was supposed to have done this — he sent out a picture of all these CNN people, listing all of the Jews who work at CNN.

These people are so obsessed with “Oh it’s all white men in Trump’s cabinet!” Wait, but somebody can’t point out that you have a kind of a disproportionate number of Jews working at your network? I mean just the hypocrisy of this is stunning.
